During her writing residency at The Medical Foundation for the Care of the Victims of Torture, poet Gillian Allnutt worked on a one-to-one basis with people who had been though the most traumatic experiences in their countries of origin, most of them now living their lives in limbo, negotiating the asylum system in this country. The Galloping Stone features writing from these people, as well as staff and volunteers at the centre, and from Gillian Allnutt.
